Berks criminal justice students and youth from the RIZE program recently met at the GoggleWorks Center in Reading. The purpose of the meeting was to have an open discussion -- through artistic media -- about social justice issues in the city of Reading.

Berks gears up for FIRST LEGO League Challenge

The innovators of tomorrow will be practicing imaginative thinking and teamwork at the FIRST LEGO League Challenge, set to run from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 26, with a snow date of Saturday, Feb. 9, at Penn State Berks.

Berks teams with Reading Public Works

Berks students teamed up with the City of Reading Public Works Department to implement projects that will inform residents about the harmful effects of dumping chemicals and litter into the storm drains leading into the Schuylkill River.

Careers with Math Options celebrates 22 years

Penn State Berks celebrated the 22nd anniversary of its Careers with Math Options Conference on May 9. A record total of 335 female seventh-grade students and 35 chaperones from 19 schools around Berks County area attended the day-long event.
